Facilities
At Plas Coch all bedrooms have a comfortable seating area, with armchairs and a low table. Each room has facilities for making tea and coffee and fresh milk is available. Homemade cakes are served each afternoon for guests to enjoy.
Some bedrooms have a bath, but for guests in rooms which have a shower only, you are welcome to use our Guest Bathroom with roll top bath. This is very popular for a relaxing soak after a day on the mountains.
We have a Kit Room on the ground floor, where our mains-fed water cooler is. This is for guests to use, to take water to their room or to fill their water bottles before heading out for the day. You do not need to bring single-use plastic bottles, as we provide reusable metal water bottles. The Kit Room doubles up as a drying room, useful for wet gear, be it wetsuits from your time enjoying the Snowdonia lakes or mountain gear from your day out.
Our Map Room, also on the ground floor is a useful space for meeting in, planning your day out in the mountains or enjoying a drink or take-away in the evening. As well as OS Maps of Snowdonia and our surrounding area, we have a good selection of books, many written by local authors. There are also a selection of games and puzzles for guests to use.
We have a large Guest Garden, accessible on the right of the house. As well as trees and maturing flower beds there is plenty of seating. It is a perfect spot in the good weather to relax in. The summer house has glorious views towards Dinorwig Quarry, Elider Fach and Elider Fawr and is popular with guests to like to enjoy a glass of wine on a summer’s evening. A fire pit is available and blankets are provided for colder evenings.
