Our Location

Set on the High Street in the middle of Llanberis, the centre of outdoor activities in Snowdonia, Plas Coch is a historic, spacious and elegant house offering high-quality accommodation at the foot of some of the highest mountains in the National Park. Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Garnedd Ugain, Elidir Fawr, Moel Eilio and Moel Cynghorion can all be reached on foot from Plas Coch and even more mountains can be reached with a short drive or bus-ride.

We are a short walk from the beautiful Llyn Padarn and all it has to offer. The surrounding quarries, recently designated UNESCO Word Heritage Status, are waiting to be explored and the National Slate Museum gives a welcome insight in to life in the quarries. Whatever your interests, Llanberis is the ideal base from which to explore North Wales.

Plas Coch can be reached by car from the North via the A55 North Wales Expressway. Follow road signs from junction 11 (for A5). From the south approach on the A5 taking the A4086 from Capel Curig which turns right at the Pen y Gwryd Hotel and follows the scenic Llanberis Pass down into the village. The High Street is easy to spot just beyond the Snowdon Mountain Railway.

Llanberis is well served by public transport. The frequent Sherpa buses that pass Plas Coch make exploring Snowdonia sustainable and allow you to leave the car in our car park for the duration of your stay. Increasingly Plas Coch guests travel to Bangor by train and use a direct Sherpa bus to complete their journey.
